Burton Blake are pleased to bring you this 18th Century Sundial and Compass combination by Authentic Models. A reproduction evoking the days when people lived by sundial time. Villages and towns all had their own local time determined by latitude until more frequent travel between them prompted coordinated time. This travel sundial incorporates a compass and raising the triangular gnomon upright while pointing the compass needle North will show the time. This lovely piece is made from hand-aged and hand-polished brass finished in duotone with hand-coloured reproduction compass card.
Materials: Hand-aged and polished brass; glass. No lid included in reproduction design. Diameter: 2.5cm. Weight: 0.34kg.
