The reduced weight of the diaphragm and moving coil result in a similar pulse characteristic as electrostatic headphones and in combination with a carefully tailored frequency response provide a natural and balanced sound. The 600 Ohm version were developed to get the best out of hi-fi systems with especially powerful headphone outputs or special headphone amplifiers.
