Natural, living light

The Light Speaker from Swedish audio brand, Transparent Sound is a portable light-to-sound speaker that produces a natural, living light that reacts to your music. Humans have gathered around fires since the beginning of time, it made our brains grow and took us to where we are today. In designing this speaker, Transparent have analysed the properties of real flames in order to make the Light Speaker act as your own little bonfire. They invented a glowing, vibrating bass-and-light element that sits in the bottom of the device. The colour variations and the subtle flicker that follows the music has been carefully tuned to give the atmosphere of a living flame. The vibrations and flickering in concert creates a natural, living light experience.

The design is a merger of an omnidirectional speaker and a glass lantern, a classic, functional and simplistic light device merged with new technology. The aluminium exterior has been meticulously crafted to last a lifetime, with the custom borosilicate glass cylinder allowing you to view the inner components at work. The IPX2 rating means you can bring it outdoors and the modular handle can be removed or attached with the side screws depending on how you want to use it. It’s a statement of timeless, modular electronics that blends into any environment.

Transparent sound

The light speaker has the brand’s signature sound with the ambition of being “Transparent”, meaning an authentic sound that channels the true intention of the artist. Considering its size, the Light Speaker's 2.5 inch full range driver and passive radiator offers a big and open sound, with rich bass and crisp details. The dome-shaped design spreads the sound 360 degrees and together with the passive subwoofer it creates a rich acoustic experience, setting the mood wherever you go, whether it's on your balcony, at the beach or in your garden.

Forever upgradable

The single most important thing an electronics product can do to save greenhouse gas emission and natural resources is to extend its lifetime. Apart from having a long lasting quality and appearance, this means that Transparent have invested in a modular design that can be repaired and upgraded over time. Transparent products will get better with age and they intend to do what they can to remove electronic waste from the world.
